My experience has been uneven here for the last 23 years. At this time the only technician I like and trust is Byron. The others, mostly young, will give the few females who walk through the door the bum's rush--unless a male customer comes in with a daughter or granddaughter. When a shop is rushed--especially after a 4-5 holiday break--misdiagnoses inevitably follow. Folks, if you've become that busy you need to do more to hire an additional employee or two--and tell the ones already there they're coming across as knuckle-draggers. It's way past time to come out of the Dark Ages.
Went in to fill up the air in my tires and to schedule a tune up on my bike I purchased from there. I walked in and there was no one in the place but workers. I was ignored by a blond haired fellow “working” the front counter and told him what I needed he handed me the pump because he was too busy I guess doing whatever he was doing on the computer at the front counter. I asked him “ how much air should I put for riding on the road” he said “ idk what ever is close to max for the tire” . I asked him another question regarding what I can do to fix my tire from deflating so often. “ again he was too busy to respond to that” So I just wanted to apologize for inconveniencing him and I’ll be taking my business to the bike store on main street instead. I’d rather pay for service than beg for it. Now I see why Visalia cyclery is always empty.
Got the bike in Fresno for $120 less than what they were charging here. The bike on specialized website and every other store was $120 less. Why they couldn't meet that price is beyond me
Went in today to purchase a bike (at least attempted to), made eye contact with everyone in the store. Not one person bothered to ask if I needed any help. I was in there for at least 25 minutes. Store was just about empty. I guess my money isn’t good enough for VC. Piss poor behavior for a business.
This place is very nice, they have a big selection of bikes. I looked for a Specialized Rockhopper in so many places, I started my search from FL all the way to CA. I found the color, the size and the specs that I wanted in here. I ended up buying 2 bikes from them. Very knowledgeable people, they answered all your bike related questions. Thanks for 2 awesome bikes!!!
These guys went above and beyond to take care of me when an online item was out of stock. Talk about turning a situation full 180. Definitely recommend!
I brought my Specialized Allez in for repairs after being hit by a car. Jesse inspected my bike, and he was very polite and helpful. I looked at new bikes with him after discussing the repairs, and I ended up buying a Specialized Diverge. Jesse was very patient with me as I struggled with the decision to buy a new bike over repairing my old one, and he did his best to answer all the questions I asked. He also did a wonderful job setting up the Diverge and transferring all the things from my Allez that I wanted to keep. I’m very pleased with my experience at Visalia Cyclery.
